Rarely seen such devastation. Would be like all of Queens being flattened and ground down to rubble. Glued to CNN and MSNBC watching their non-stop reporting. So difficult to watch but glad Haiti is getting the attention and hopefully the help it needs. Seeing much fundraising and help from all around the world. Channel surfed up to FOX where they were busy interviewing Sarah Palin, that great intelluctual giant, about how bad a job President Obama is doing. Then they covered the senate race in Massachusetts for Ted Kennedy's old seat. If the Republicans win this race the Dems will lose their 60th vote in the senate. I guess Haiti isn't really on their radar.
Nice to know in a world turned upside down that some things remain the same.
Did you see Pat Robertson on You Tube? My, God! Couldn't get a link to load up but go check it out when he claimed the Haitians made a deal with the devil and this is why God made the earthquake happen. Listen carefully! This is a man of God speaking.

Pat Roberstson claims that, Its Hati fault about the EarthQuake. I disagree because A Country is not responsible for a earthquake or any natural effect.

ReplyDeleteI have heard the rumor about Haiti doing "voodoo", which resulted in the earthquake. Personally, I think it's really sterotypical and rude. Haitians are the subject of jokes all the time. However, I think that a disaster like this should stop those sterotypical opinions. Some people don't even believe that Haiti deserves help since they never had it in the first place. But that's cruel and inconsiderate. Every nation deserves help after a catastrophe, such as Haitis....rich or poor.
ReplyDeleteThats what many people are not understanding, if this was queens flattened like this then it would be a totally different story, but since its this country in which they've neverr been to some dont really care. We are all human and we share this big planet together so we all should care about one another. The only reason the news is paying so much attention to this is because its a big issue but just give it a week and i promise more news channels would be back to their previous ways. As far as a deal with the devil, thats just racist, just because SOME of the Hatian people practice Voodoo that doesnt mean the whole country does. We've been through a lot of disasters, mainly due to a bad government but no such deal was made, every country goes through stuff its just unfortunate that we have suffered more than others.

For all it could just be the government talking or not even the full story or all the facts.They only tell you what you wanna hear or what they want you to know. They tell you what THEY think is important and hide the important things. the best news that is truthful is CNN but still you cant believe everything. Fox news would be the biggest lying and conspiracy channel. They make up all the B.S in the world and let ignorant people actually believe their news. So I think FOx news takes sides they are Republican so they make Obama look bad.
